Gowanus Canal Cleanup

Role: Designer, Animator

New York City broke ground on a long overdue $1.6 billion project to clean up and revitalize the Gowanus Canal and its waterfront. By building two underground storage tanks, they will help divert sewage from flowing into the canal during rainstorms. Once completed, the tanks will help drastically reduce pollution into the canal and protect the waterway from up to 12 million gallons of sewage overflow.

Utilizing video clips, photos, and illustration, I worked with our social media communications team to produce an animated explainer video to help illustrate how this project will work.
