#GetCoveredNYC

The #GetCoveredNYC social media campaign was a push to promote the open enrollment period for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and to encourage uninsured New Yorkers to sign up for health insurance coverage for 2018. With the ACA under threat of being repealed, it was crucial to inform New Yorkers about affordable healthcare options. 

For this campaign, I created a set of looping animations with the purpose and goal of getting social media users to stop and quickly consume the information. Our team's concept for the animations was to use New York specific tropes and illustrate how New Yorkers would "Get Covered". For instance, you wouldn't drink your morning coffee without the lid during your rush hour commute or you wouldn't eat just a plain bagel. This idea was carried throughout the rest of the series.
